Request Account & Data Deletion

What happens after you submit a request

The process is deliberately short:

• We email you at the address you supplied to confirm the request came from you. This is the only safeguard we apply, and it exists so that nobody can delete your account on your behalf.
• Once confirmed, we delete your account and associated data from our production systems.
• We email you again to confirm the deletion is complete.
• The whole process is finished within 30 days of your request, and usually much sooner.

What gets deleted

Unless you ask us to delete something narrower, a deletion request removes your account and everything tied to it:

• Your account record, including your name, email address, and any phone number on file
• Your login credentials and authentication tokens
• Your profile information and in-app settings or preferences
• Content you created in the app and any files you uploaded
• Your in-app activity and usage history linked to your account

What we keep, and why

A small amount of information survives deletion, because the law requires it or because it is no longer connected to you:

• Transaction and billing records, where we are required to retain them to meet tax, accounting, and financial record-keeping obligations. These are kept for the period the applicable law requires, typically seven years, and are used for nothing else.
• Records we are required to preserve in connection with a legal hold, dispute, or lawful request from a government authority, for as long as that obligation lasts.
• Aggregated and anonymized analytics that contain no information identifying you and cannot be traced back to you.
• The deletion request itself and our correspondence about it, so we have proof we honored your request.
• Encrypted backups, which are deleted on their normal rotation. Your data is removed from live systems immediately and expires from backups within 90 days. We do not restore deleted accounts from backups.

Deleting only part of your data

You do not have to delete everything. If you would rather keep your account but remove particular content, choose "Specific data only" on the form and tell us which data you mean. We will confirm exactly what we are deleting before we do it.

Requesting by email instead

The form is the fastest route, but it is not the only one. Email us from the address on your account, tell us the name of the app and what you want deleted, and your request carries exactly the same weight and the same 30-day commitment. Our address is at the bottom of this page.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have a legal right to deletion — under the GDPR if you are in the EU or UK, or under the CCPA and CPRA if you are a California resident. We honor these requests regardless of where you live, we will not charge you for it, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
